Old Towne Lofts

Scott and Steve Frakes are the faces behind Champion Homes, a company that is introducing a new housing concept in the Edmond area. The brothers embarked on meeting the needs of specific buyers ten years ago and say they have developed a "dynamic duo" team, which utilizes Steve's background in accounting, finance and construction and Scott's diverse sales and marketing experience in new home sales.

"This combination allows us to develop new products and ideas that are outside of conventional housing options," said Scott.

Their newest venture, a unique loft community, is attracting a variety of Edmond buyers, especially single adults and senior citizens.

"After traveling across the U.S. we saw lofts everywhere and loved them," Steve said. "We thought the people of Edmond would enjoy the lifestyle that comes with a maintenance free loft community."

Located on the south side of 2nd and Fretz, tucked behind the busy street's chaos, sits the Old Towne Lofts-luxury loft living at an affordable price.

"Steve and I grew up in Oklahoma City with three other brothers, being raised by a single mother working two jobs to provide the basic living necessities for us," said Scott. "Growing up definitely made us appreciate the value of a dollar and the benefits of hard work and determination."

Old Towne Lofts presents an old world feel on the outside with state-of-the-art amenities on the inside. Unique attributes include contemporary fixtures throughout, an ipod docking station, a comprehensive intercom system, custom sunshades and pre-wiring for surround sound system.

"We decided to build a unique community with flexible options that get people excited," said Scott. "But build with the quality they would expect from their personal home."

Custom upgrade options will include home theater packages, an elevator, and video surveillance. Owners will also be able to access the clubhouse, fitness center, covered patio and sun terrace overlooking the lap pool.

With investments starting in the 170's, well below the average starting prices for new homes in Edmond, they hope the lofts will be available to more people.

"Many builders will turn clients away if they desire to make custom changes to their floor plans," said Steve. "We wanted to be as open as possible, putting the design control in the person's hands who's going to be living in the space."

Champion Homes, a certified professional homebuilder, prides itself on meeting the needs of specific buyers who are looking for something different. "With our flexibility we can give them as much loft space as they desire," Scott added. "Our buyers will be able to create their own living space and living experience."

Old Towne Lofts will be having its Grand Opening on Saturday, May 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Snacks and door prizes will be provided. Run by for a free peek at Edmond's new and sleek living options. For more information go to www.oldtownelofts.com or call 600-5099.
