Special Needs Baseball League Now Forming

The Yukon
Spirit League will throw out the first pitch of the Spring 2012 season on J.
Calvin Field on Tuesday, April 17. 
Individuals are encouraged to sign up for the outdoor baseball league
now in its fifth season.

Games
will be played on J. Calvin Field inside Taylor Park, 410 N. 11th.  The field has a special rubberized playing
surface along the baselines.  This
surface allows players to stay on a level and easily accessible playing
surface.

Games are
played on Tuesdays & Thursdays (if necessary) at 6:00 PM & 7:00 PM
through June 7.  Cost is $15 per player
for the 8-week season.  Registration is
held at the Yukon Parks & Recreation Office, 532 W. Main.

The Yukon
Spirit League is open to all individuals with a disability.  Players of all ages are welcome to
participate.  The league is not just
limited to the Yukon area, players from across the state are welcome to join.  The deadline to enter to be placed on a team
is Tuesday, April 10th.
