Earl’s father, Isaac, had purchased the flour mill in 1897. In 1913, Earl joined his father, buying one-half interest in the mill, which was producing 300 barrels of flour a day. The Rodkey Mill was one of Edmond’s most successful businesses for decades, and it did not close until 1970.
