3000 Read Together Event

3000 Read Together,
sponsored by PaceButler Corporation, will be held January 28, 2012 at the
Oklahoma State Fair Arena.  Admission is
FREE and doors open at 9am.  Attendees
ages 12-100 will receive a free copy of  Mentor:
The Kid and the CEO
by Tom Pace and The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.  There will be a $3,000 cash grand prize
drawing and twenty – $100 will be given away every 10-15 minutes!

“This is going to be a fantastic
event,” said Tom Pace, CEO of PaceButler Corporation.  “I am a huge advocate of reading and couldn’t
think of a better way to promote it than to bring thousands of people together
and give them free books!”  Tom Pace’s
passion for reading turned into a
reading opportunity for his staff.   He started a Reading Program at his company because of his own
personal history. “When I was 26, I read at a fourth grade level,” said Pace.
“Up until that point I believed I couldn’t read.  Reading was very
difficult for me, but I started with an Og Mandino book, The Greatest
Miracle in the World
 and haven’t stopped reading since.”

For every book an employee reads, the company pays $10, but there is a
stipulation. “While we encourage our staff to read any type of book, we only
pay an employee if they read a non-fiction book.  The reading program at
PaceButler is certainly working.  Since
2007, over 10,000 books have been read by the staff which has varied in size
from 70-100 employees (that’s more than $100,000 earned, if you’re counting).

PaceButler Corporation will sponsor the 3000 Read Together event and hopes to have a huge crowd.  “We have also started a 3000 Read Together Facebook page”, Pace said. We want this page to be
a forum for people who love to read to share and recommend books with others
online. We hope to encourage reading throughout the year!”

All attendees of 3000 Read Together must register at: www.3000readtogether.org.
