Cast your Vote

Edmond, OK residents can now cast their vote for the GlobalHealth Inspiration Award, which recognizes outstanding education professionals in the community with a $100 prize for the winner from each high school and $1,000 for the winner’s schools. From now until Friday, Sept. 30, votes will be accepted on the GlobalHealth, Inc. Facebook page at www.facebook.com/globalhealthinc. 

GlobalHealth is an Oklahoma-based health insurance company that provides affordable health care coverage for federal, state and local government employees and private companies. The GlobalHealth Inspiration Award is a statewide campaign to honor and recognize education employees who make a difference in their communities. Former Oklahoma first lady, former teacher and GlobalHealth spokeswoman Kim Henry helped to launch the award.

“We are excited that the GlobalHealth Inspiration Award has been so well received in the community,” Henry said. “As a former teacher, I can’t wait to be able to reward the winning employees and recognize them for their work. I encourage everyone in Edmond to cast their votes today for their favorite.”

The top 15 finalists were decided based upon nominations taken previously on the Facebook page. 

The finalists in the Edmond School District are:

Edmond Memorial High School:

2. Peter Markes, Edmond North High School, orchestra director
3. Tara Quattlebaum, Sequoyah Middle School, seventh grade
4. Linda Beasly, Ida Freeman, second grade
5. Teri Wells, Edmond North High School, literature

Edmond Santa Fe High School:
