Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

As part of its comprehensive approach to wound care, Summit provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Patients enter a clear, comfortable chamber where they receive 100% oxygen to aid the healing process. “The before-and-after results are incredible,” says clinic director Amy Gregg, R.N.

Most patients receive treatments once a week until they’re healed. Some injuries might only require a few sessions, while other conditions like diabetic ulcers take longer. Patients are screened to ensure they’re good candidates for hyperbaric therapy, and a physician is always at the clinic to supervise the treatments.

Summit Wound Care treats patients of all ages and accepts most insurance, including Medicare. You don’t need a referral, and most new patients can be seen within five business days.

“I want people to know that patients don’t have to live with an open wound,” says Amy. “There are better options.”
