Smashburger Opening to Benefit Team Red Bowl
Smashburger, the nation’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant will open its secondOklahoma City location on Saturday, December 3 at 2127 W. Memorial Road. Smashburger brings its juicy burgers that are smashed fresh, served delicious, along with its Haagen-Dazs ® shakes, tempting sides and regional menu items crafted to please local’s palates, to north Oklahoma City. The first restaurant opened at the Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City in August.
In an effort to support the community, Klepper, local franchisee and founder of Klepper Capital Group, is hosting a VIP event to support the local branch of Team Red Bowl, an organization committed to changing children’s lives in Africa by feeding one million children every school day. Donations collected at the VIP event and throughout Smashburger’s first week in business, as well as a portion of Smashburger’s proceeds, will go to Team Red Bowl. Edmond resident, Tracy Zserdin, heads the local group and will be present at the event.
“So far, we’re currently feeding 690,000 children through Team Red Bowl while they’re at school.” Zserdin said. “So, not only do they receive a meal, but a life-changing education as well. It only takes $50 to feed a child for an entire year.”
Klepper said he expects to open several more locations in the greater Oklahoma City area over the next several years.
