Laura Beam

Account Executive, Laura Beam is a polished advertising professional and published writer. Her background in the newspaper and magazine industry has given her the technical and creative skills needed to effectively provide advertising solutions to local businesses. She brings 15 years of media experience to Edmond Outlook, as well as:

• Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Advertising from the University of Oklahoma
• Design, layout, copywriting and proofing experience
• Contributing writer and columnist
• Extensive experience in the newspaper and publishing industry

She is a true class-act and possesses a very professional demeanor. Laura’s customer service skills come through from the moment she starts a conversation. She has a passion to learn all about our advertisers businesses in order to further maximize their ad dollars and get them the results they need.

When she’s near a bakery, her affinity for delicatessens takes over and she’s like a kid in a candy shop! There’s no doubt you’ll start seeing more bakery advertisers in Edmond Outlook. In her spare time, Laura enjoys gardening, kickboxing, creative writing, cooking and spending time with her niece and nephew.

Laura took up roots in Edmond four years ago with her husband John, of 20 years and their blonde cocker spaniel, Calli. She loves living close to family and enjoys the kindness the people of Edmond offer. She’s proud to be part of this community.
